I hope you are well and managed not to melt in the hot July sun!
As you know, keeping your site updated is important both for in providing your clients with useful information and helping your search engine rankings.
Here are our ideas for content topics for this month that you might wish to consider when updating your website:
- International Cat Day is 8th August, further information and competitions can be found on the International Cat Care Website
- With all the hot weather we’ve had recently its good to offer some advice on how to take care of your pets in the heat. The BVA have provided this advice for pet owners that might be worth highlighting on your site
- The RSPCA offer also offer advice on dog care in the summer as well as advice for other pets
- In the hot weather many dog owners will be tempted to let their dog take a dip to cool down. The PDSA issue this advice to raise awareness on the the health risks of blue-green algae
- With the school holidays underway many people will be taking pets abroad on holiday with them. The government provide detailed information on travelling with pets but you may wish to refer clients to your own advice and guidelines instead.
- Don't forget to remove/update any out of date messages or offers on your site
- Add your latest practice newsletter
- Let your clients know about any staff changes
- Farm The RSPCA offer this advice for farm animals in hot weather
- Equine The RSCPA offer this advice on keeping horses cool in summer
- Equine Pet Plan Equine give guidance on the prevention and control of flies
- Equine Animal Friends offer summer care advice for horses
