As you know, keeping your website content updated is important both for providing your visitors with useful information and for the general health of the site.

Here are our suggestions for content topics that you might wish to consider when updating your website this month:

  • March is National Poison Prevention Awareness Month - this might be an opportunity to write a blog reminding clients of the dangers of household poisons. The PDSA have this information for keeping pets safe.
  • 17th March - 2nd April sees the One Bag BIG Difference Great British Spring Clean 2023. Clients can read more and get involved here. Help protect pets and wild animals from the danger from every day litter left lying around.
  • March 14th is UK Dog Theft Awareness Day. This might be a good time to remind clients of the need to microchip dogs.
  • The BVA 'Think Twice' appeal issues new information on Non-traditional companion animals.
  • In response to the recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) have launched an urgent appeal to provide emergency support.
  • Everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment with prices on everything soaring. Here is some advice from the PDSA on low cost ways to care for your pet.
  • Don't forget to remove/update any out of date messages or offers on your site
  • Add your latest practice newsletter
  • Let your clients know about any staff changes
  • Equine BEVA announce EHV (Equine Herpes Virus) Outbreaks in Mainland Europe and detail immediate measures for the UK. Clients can read more about EHV here.
  • Farm Calving really gets underway throughout March, and it's the busiest time of the year for many farmers. Farmers can read advice on calving here and here.
  • Farm It's not just the cows though; the beginning of March is lambing time too. Farmers can read lambing advice here and here.
