I hope you are well and looking forward to the summer.

As you know, each month we send you ideas for topics you might want to consider when updating your website content. Keeping your site updated is crucial in providing your clients with useful information and helping your search engine rankings.

Here are our ideas for content topics for this month:

  • Don't forget to add your May Bank Holiday opening times and to remove them when the holidays are over.
  • The 2nd to 9th May is Sun Awareness Week. This article from PetPlan provides information to dog owners about the dangers of sun exposure and may be worth highlighting on your site. In addition, this article from Blue Cross is on a similar subject.
  • May also sees the following awareness days which may be worth blogging about/linking to:-
  • Don't forget to remove/update any out of date messages or offers on your site (for example, you might wish to check that you have removed any messages regarding Easter opening and that any Covid messaging is relevant).
  • Add your latest practice newsletter
  • Let your clients know about any staff changes
  • Farm: This Farmers Weekly article deals with legislation & advice around the subject of lamb tail docking which might be worth bringing to clients' attention. This article from NADIS covers the same subject as well as dealing with fostering and castration.
  • Equine: May 8th is World Donkey Day which you might wish to write a companion blog about.
  • Equine: The consultation “Improvements to Equine Identification and Traceability in England” is now live. Maybe you could share these links with your clients so they can have their say:
    • The British Horse council has a short survey here.
    • Defra has a longer survey here.
  • Spring clean your website! If you think your website is looking a little tired and it could do with a new look and feel, please let us know and we will be happy to give you our thoughts/suggestions.
