June 2025
I hope you are well and that you enjoyed the run of bank holidays we have recently had.
Here are my suggestions for content topics that you might wish to consider when updating your website this month:
- Rabbit Awareness Week 2025 takes place from 23rd to 27th June and the theme is ‘Happy, Hoppy Homes". Register for reminders and your Rabbit Awareness Week 2025 Pack here.
- The UK and EU have reached an agreement that will reinstate the use of pet passports for travel within the EU. This means that UK pet owners will be able to use pet passports issued by authorised vets in the UK, instead of requiring an Animal Health Certificate (AHC). The new pet passport rules are expected to be in effect soon, with the exact date to be confirmed. For the most up-to-date information and specific requirements, it's always recommended to consult the official GOV.UK website and the relevant guidelines for the specific country you are travelling to.
- Talking of travel, new pet travel rules to Northern Ireland come into effect from 4th June - read the latest information here.
- The RCVS have recently published new advice for pet owners to help build a good understanding of their vet practice and what they should expect from their vet team. Check out what they have to say here.
